Info from the LA Gay Center on viewing parties and other ways to watch the Prop 8 arguments:

Very few people will have the opportunity to watch the arguments in person, as only 20 seats will be reserved in the courtroom (in San Francisco) for members of the public. Fortunately, the arguments are being telecast by satellite and we’ve made arrangements to show the whole thing at The Village Arguments start at 9 a.m. and are anticipated to end at around noon. Afterwards, Lambda Legal Staff Attorney Stefan Johnson will help put what happened in perspective and take questions from the audience.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP. Please arrive early to allow time for parking; limited street parking is available.
Co-sponsoring this viewing, along with a contemporaneous one happening at the West Hollywood Auditorium, are Lambda Legal, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the ACLU and Equality California.
You can also watch the arguments at home if you get the California Channel or on your computer at the California Channel website, although there might be problems with watching that streaming video given the large number of people likely to log on.
If anyone knows of any NYC area viewing parties, I’d love to hear about them!
