This afternoon at 2:00 2:30PM EDT, President Obama will sign the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2010, which, of course, contains the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act –
the Matthew Shepard Act that was added to the defense bill as an amendment.
It’s been more than ten years in the making.
Obama will sign the defense bill at 2:00, and then at 6:00PM EDT he will speak about the bill. You can watch the livestreaming of both.
