Last month I wrote how two gay Florida men were beaten and robbed in two separate incidents near Fort Lauderdale on the same night by the same group of men.
Yesterday, suspects were finally arrested in the attacks.
Two men have been arrested in last month’s brutal beatings in Oakland Park that left one victim in a coma.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests Monday of 21-year-old Victor Gonzalez and 25-year-old Pargu Leandro. They each face attempted murder, battery and robbery charges. The attacks happened on April 6. Authorities said the suspects attacked the first man as he headed home, stomping his head into the ground. The second victim was kicked in the head and suffered a fractured skull.
An anonymous tip to police led investigators to the suspects. [Authorities say more arrests are possible, but no motive has been released.MiamiHerald.com]
