Last night, after “True Blood,” I made sure to sit up and be as perky as possible for the premiere of “Hung,” the new HBO series with Thomas Jane, who plays an aging man with a huge schlong who uses it to make his life better.
I thought I was going to have to wait until the end of the episode in order to catch a glimpse of the giganto-probably-prosthetic-penis. But, while the penis didn’t make an appearance at all last night, Thomas Jane’s ass did almost immediately — it’s built in to the opening credits.
That’s right. The opening credits overlay Thomas Jane as he walks through a neighborhood and strips down to his nakedness before jumping into the a lake. Now, this means that, at the very least, we are going to be able to see at least Jane’s ass every week.

Apparently, they are not going to show his wang. The prodcuers want the audience to imagine the size of it.
The focus is about his misadventures about his new line of work. The interaction between his kids, ex-wife, the pesky neighbor.

The creators of the show explained in an interview weeks back, that showing the character’s penis ala Marky Mark in Boogie Nights was not their intention at all, they saw that as a gimmick and will not show it period because their show was about more than just a big penis, etc.
So everyone watching, waiting for the “revelation” is going to be saddly disappointed. The pilot was kinda of bland, so I’m hoping it picks up in the next 3episodes or I won’t bother.
