Although our gay boys didn’t win, Beyonce did take home an award for Performer of the Year.

The Image Awards awards are the nation’s premier event celebrating the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts (motion picture, television, recording, and literature), as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors.

Last night also marked the 100th anniversary of the NAACP itself, the oldest civil rights organization in the country.
