Sponsors of a campaign to overturn Washington state’s recent “everything but marriage” domestic partnership law turned in their petition signatures Saturday and said they believe they have enough to force a public vote.

Following the harassment of gay men at a local taco shop, the city of El Paso City Council passed unanimously reaffirmed the city’s commitment to “acceptance, tolerance and diversity.”
