The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) has gone crazy. You’ll remember, of course, the Stonewall-style raid on The Rainbow Lounge that left Chad Gibson hospitalized. The TABC also recently suspended one of its own officers for sexually assaulting a minor during a sting operation.
And, now, last Friday, the TABC geniuses have targeted another Texas bar — The Eagle Dallas. Even better, the TABC officers raided the bar while wearing ninja masks:
TABC agents reportedly raided the nightclub [Friday] night, running all of the customers out and shutting it down because The Eagle’s license to sell alcoholic beverages still had the address of its old location, rather than the new building which sits nearly in spitting distance of the entrance to the old location. There reportedly were no arrests.
The Eagle had just moved to the new location, and it had been celebrating its “grand opening” all week. Friday night was the finale. [The Rare Reporter[
The new location of The Eagle was built in the parking lot of the old location, which means that the TABC went through all that trouble dressing up over a few little feet. Those TABC agents must really enjoy dressing up.
The owner of The Eagle Dallas is meeting with officials from TABC today.

So what have we learned about TABC? They like to hang out in gay bars but are too freaking cheap to pay the cover.
Really, boys, ninja masks?

Seems to me that a pattern is starting to emerge. A systematic attempt to make us frightened to frequent bars.
