Now, I’m not much of a follower of the decathlon, but after coming across this story and these pics of Trey Hardee winning a gold at the World Championships yesterday in Berlin, I see I should have been heavily involved in the sport long ago:
Trey Hardee made it through his victory lap – barefoot, no less – then signed autographs and blew kisses to the crowd of nearly 60,000 that stuck around Olympic Stadium to watch the late finish of the decathlon.
Exhausted, Hardee finally laid down on the landing mat under the pole vault, soaking up the warm Berlin night as the world champion in the toughest event at the world championships. [Miami Herald]
Seriously, the sweaty and exhausted pics of this super-athlete post-win are so sexy I ALMOST posted Mr. Hardee as today’s “A Good Stiff One.”

He’s a great looking guy. If he’s gay, I hope he comes out. If not, I hope that he’ll support gay athletes.
