Yup, the 6′6″ 20-year-old sexy Argentinian beast named Juan Martin del Potro upset a petulant Roger Federer to win his first major title.
The final was delayed a day. It went 5 sets. Took 4 hours and 6 minutes. Federer even said the “sh” word on live TV! But at the end of it, there was a new sheriff in town. A sexy new sheriff. With a monster forehand.

And sexy he is (in a somewhat weird fashion, but that’s exactly what tourns me on). Actually, had I’d been at the US open, I’d rather risk for him the kiss-&-run bit another fan did for Nadal…though it would be twice as difficult to do, should I had to drag a ladder of his size. Anyway, glad we have a new champion to dream about, gay or not ; knowing how iron-closeted tennis players are (men, I mean, as girls have far more guts)), that allows us for unending wishful thinking…
