More news from Seattle.
Following the letters that threatened 11 Seattle gay bars with ricin in January, a string of recent ant-gay attacks have occurred in the city. The most recent attack happened last week. Jerry Knight was walking home from a night out at gay bingo, when two attackers came up to him, yelled anti-gay slurs at him, and beat him.
To draw attention to the wave of attacks, organizers held an anti-hate vigil in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood this past weekend to take back the night. Capitol Hill Seattle reports that a crowd of about 300 people gathered for the candlelight vigil and march against hate.
