Empowering Spirits Foundation national grassroots based civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality, will be holding a kiss-in tonight outside the San Diego Mormon temple as a show of support for Matt Aune and Derek Jones, the gay couple cited for trespassing in Utah after sharing a kiss on church property
Empowering Spirits Foundation asks supporters who join in the kiss-in to paint red hearts on their cheeks, foreheads, or wear paper hearts on their clothing. More information here.
No sure why this is being held in San Diego, but smoochin’ is always good.

Great job guys at last weekend’s event. What a positive way to influence others in our fight for equality! While other organizations remain divisive, you continue to push the envelope to promote ways to cultivate communication with the “other side.” I know everyone won’t come around; but as A. Latham Staples said, “we have the chance through positive means to change the minds of those who don’t have enough information.” We had so much fun, and I know we’ll be at future events!
