Via Towleroad comes news out of Arizona that could prove that there might be some very ardent fans of “Saturday Night Live” — this morning swastikas made of refried beans were found smeared on the Capitol building grounds in what is certainly a response to last week’s passing of the state’s racist anti-immigrant bill. Which “Saturday Night Live” this weekend compared to Nazism.
In addition to the state House and Senate doors being smeared, beans were used to write “AZ=Nazi” on the sidewalk as well, again with a second refried beans swastika.
“That is what happens when there is so much fear and there is so much disappointment,” said Gustavo Ramirez, a protester from California. “The laws that have been passed, they are Nazi laws. They are not considering humanity. They are a crime against humanity.” Ramirez clarifies that while he does not support the new law, he also does not support the vandalism.
