Prop 8 Ruling Protest: San Francisco

sanfranciscoprop8rulingprotest4In San Francisco yesterday, 175 protesters arrested, including several members of the clergy, for “being outside a crosswalk and failing to obey an officer. Tomioka said she was not aware of any injuries related to the protest.”

There were no major protests in the Castro, but there was one in front of City Hall. Still looking for numbers.

Recently married Jay and Bryan Leffew drove to the protest in San Francisco. After the Prop 8 ruling was announced, Jay asked Bryan how he felt. Bryan said, “It’s kind of like when your alcoholic father comes home and beats you for the tenth time — you’re angry and sad and upset, but you kind of knew it was coming.” you expect it but you hate
