For this segment, I hoped for two things: 1) for Bishop Gene Robinson to tell us how infuriated he still is about Rick Warren and 2) for Maddow to bring up Obama’s former support of gay marriage. I sort of got #2. In a lighter-than-expected interview, we learn that Bishop Robinson is an adviser to Obama on LGBT issues. Robinson spent much of his time re-selling Obama back to the gay community without ever mentioning how Obama threw us under the bus. Maddow politely let him finish his sales pitch before reminding him of the facts. Watch above.
