Via The Advocate:
Outrage, a documentary by Kirby Dick that exposes closeted gay and lesbian politicians who actively campaign against gay rights, will have its world premiere at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival.
Released by Magnolia Pictures, Outrage is described in promotional materials as “a searing indictment of the hypocrisy of closeted politicians who actively campaign against the LGBT community they covertly belong to.”
Dick, 52, most recently directed This Film Is Not Yet Rated, about the Motion Picture Association of America’s rating system. His 2005 documentary Twist of Faith, about Catholic Church complicity in hiding sexual abuse by priests, was nominated for an Academy Award.
The Tribeca Film Festival, now in its eighth year, will run from April 22 to May 3 in New York City.
I couldn’t locate a trailer, but if I can find one, I’ll update the post.
