Of The 80 LGBT Issues The White House Could Have Easily Addressed This Year, Guess How Many Were?

Wed, Nov 11, 2009 by AKA William

low-fruit-checkLast week on his show Michelangelo Signorile about the some of the LGBT issues that everyone expected the Obama administration to have addressed by now, the “low-hanging fruit,” as they were called by NGLTF’s Rea Carey in December of last year.

These low-hangers — pulled together into a real list over on the NGLTF site — are actions that the executive branch can take that do not require Congressional approval. And there were 80 LGBT issues pulled into that handy list that the Obama administration could just check off as each one was swiftly and easily completed.

Now, almost a year later, that list has been updated. Know how many LGBT low-hanging issues now have a check mark marking them as complete?

One.

No, seriously. One.

Check out the epically unchecked low-hanging list.
