Following the hundred or so bills that the Senate tried to pawn off yesterday, Gov. Paterson has called for emergency special meetings for the New York State Senate for 3 PM every day between now and July 6. The Senators must attend or Paterson can call in the Mounties to force them to attend. Or something like that.
Crazy Senator Ruben Diaz, Sr. scoffed, yes scoffed, at the idea, and said, “. . . I would rather spend my time in church, preaching and praising the Lord, than to be here doing nothing, wasting my time . . . wasting the money of the people of the state of New York.”
Yup, he said that out loud.
