Remember the French pole vaulter who ran naked through Paris in order to draw attention to his lack of sponsorship? Well, he got that sponsorship, and he kept on competing.

Last week, Mesnil competed at the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Berlin (you remember, that’s the one where super hot American decathlete Trey Hardee won gold). And Mesnil won silver!

Great stuff, right? Even better, as Mesnil was taking soaking in his second place finish wearing nothing but a French flag tied chicly around his wast, his French teammate and bronze medal winner Renaud Lavillenie decided to see what Mesnil was wearing underneath that flag. Fortunately for us it was nothing.
