I mean, okay, Mika says he’s bisexual, then I’ll believe that he’s bisexual. But isn’t there something kind of, I don’t know, 1978 about a pop star coming out to the world as bisexual?
Here’s what Mika had to say, finally, about his sexuality in an interview with Dutch magazine Gay & Night:

“I’ve never ever labeled myself. But having said that; I’ve never limited my life, I’ve never limited who I sleep with. So, whatever. (…) Call me whatever you want. Call me bisexual, if you need a term for me.”
When asked if he doesn’t think he’d make a good role model for closeted teenagers, he offers an interesting answer: “There are ways of being a role model without having to always having to establish yourself with a label. Let’s say if you’re a 16-year-old guy, and you’re not sure about your sexuality, you should be as free as you want.” according to the singer.
I don’t know . . . sounds a whole lot like a cop out. Rather than getting caught up in what other people label him, why not just say, “Hey, I love having sex with guys?”
Perhaps listening to his new album, “The Boy Who Knew Too Much,” will make Mika’s statement more . . . palatable.
