Yesterday, the Maine ethics commission said that there was no need to investigate the fundraising tactics of Maine’s anti-LGBT Stand For Marriage (funded in part by NOM) and recommended against an investigation.
Well, the Maine Governmental Ethics & Election Practices decided to ignore that recommendation and voted 3-2 to look into the Stand for Marriage Maine political action committee (PAC) and some of its contributors, like NOM.
Maggie is gonna be pissed!

NOM was out of money for their campaign. They appealed on the last day of their campaign for $25,000 and ‘magically’ got $25,000. From whom?
The ‘No on 1′ campaign’ (equality) has repeatedly demanded the signatures of the petitioners. The names of which are public record and their release is REQUIRED BY LAW within 30 days of request! Yet months have gone by and they refuse to release them. What are they hiding and why haven’t the proper authorities taken action? The National Organization for Marriage is breaking the law and they don’t care, but then it seems that many of you don’t care either.
