Yesterday, there were a number of marriage equality protests both in response to the Maine results and to draw attention to the one year anniversary of the passage of Prop 8.
In Washington D.C., NOM’s very own Maggie Gallagher showed up at the Dupont Circle marriage equality protest. She sat quietly on a bench. Activist Michael Crawford of D.C. For Marriage then called her out.
Funny thing is last night, on Twitter, someone (I can’t remember who) at the D.C. protest sent a twitpic and tweeted, “Maggie Gallagher is here!” I thought the tweeter was kidding. He was not.
Part of me wants to believe that Maggie is having second thoughts about her relentless dehumanization of LGBT people, but then the realistic part of me thinks she is just publicly gloating and preparing to fight marriage equality in D.C.
