Pork here.
Okay, so I won’t blame you if you aren’t running to your local record store today. It’s one of the . . . leanest New Music Tuesdays in record-release history. I’m not even putting together one of those fun little carousel displays because I really only want to spotlight stuff we should all be excited about . . . or at least interested in! Besides, I don’t want to be waving that Cannibal Corpse album cover in front of you all.
Tho I will admit that the single from The Fray is growing on me, (listen):

other than that, it’s a weak week…although William disagrees. He thinks the good old gay standbys save the week with releases from k.d. lang, Liza, Barbra, Morrissey, and Xanadu! William’s gay like that.
Think I’m exaggerating about the lack of blood-rushing releases? Look for yourself.

First, your eyes must’ve slipped right to it above in The List, but in case you missed it…Liza’s at the Palace drops today.
Rhino Flashback re-releases Morrissey’s Southpaw Grammar 14 years after its original release. No sign of any remastering or bonus tracks, but I’ll keep you posted.
k.d. lang’s “Live in London With the BBC Concert Orchestra” is released today. 86 minutes of vocal and musical bliss. How can that be a bad thing?
and don’t miss the Xanadu: Magical Edition which is somehow different than last year’s Magical Music Edition . . . perhaps it doesn’t include the bonus CD soundtrack.
aaaaaand Barbra Streisand stars in the special 2-disc, DVD release of Yentl: Director’s Extended Edition
