I need to once again give thanks to Paula Deen, that evil culinary genius. Without her brilliantly gruesome recipe for her non-delicious, non-nutritious, 1200-calorie Lady’s Brunch Burger, I would have no Award to give! For this week’s winner, a Lady’s Brunch Burger is just what the doctor ordered!

There really isn’t anything that I can say about today’s Lady’s Brunch Burger Award Nominee that they can’t say better themselves. So, here they are, in their own words!

About the recent plane crash in the Hudson:
“Thank God for the birds! God sent those birds to put the face on the phony Doomed americans and their amazing rebellion and stupidity!! The plane crashed – Thank God for that!!”

About disgraced preacher Ted Haggard:
“God did NOT send Fag Haggard to preach, but he did it any way, so he is in a LOT of trouble . . . he will have the crap of his sacrifices smeared on his filthy, lying face (how proper is that for a fag . . . I’m just sayin . . .).”

And they really did submit this sign to be included in the Washington state Legislative building’s holiday display. (This could be my favorite thing ever on AKA William.)

You gotta give it to today’s LBBA nominee(s) — they are remarkably, super-humanly consistent in their beliefs. No matter that they backed the wrong horse, they are riding it to the finish line come hell or high water.


The Westboro Baptist Church! Of course you’ll recognize them as being the church that pickets soldiers’ funerals with signs like the one above. And, of course, one of their websites is godhatesfags.com.

But most recently, they produced a truly terrifying video claiming that Obama is the anti-Christ. And they didn’t use that word metaphorically.
