Kathy Griffin On Why Gay People Love Her: We Both Have Uphill Battles!

Last night on Larry King to promote her new book “Official Book Club Selection,” and she unveiled an increasingly sophisticated understanding of the gay population. When asked by Larry King why gays love her, she responded with, “I get them. I get [that] they have a struggle. They have an uphill battle . . . you gotta work harder, jump higher . . . the gays and I, we work harder than the next guy. We have than in common.”

I cannot tell you how much I love that she didn’t say, “Because we’re both faaaaabulous!”

    We sure are! Thing is, our level of fabulousness doesn’t have a thing to do with why many of us love Kathy Griffin.
