William, not trying to be an ass here but I’m a details freak. Jerry Bruckheimer is the producer of the film, the director is Mike Newell. Jerry has never directed anything in his life….but he has produced (and can be blame for) many a bloated summer blockbuster, and all those pesky CSI shows.
