It’s A Wrap! The World Moves On From Carrie Prejean

Thu, Jun 11, 2009 by AKA William

carrieprejeanI’m sure y’all are sick and tired of Carrie Prejean. I know I am. So I am going to have one final superpost about her, and then I’m not gonna post anything at all about her until and unless she does something so remarkably lame that it defies belief.

Which could be tomorrow.

But to the point:

(K)NOM has written a crazy-ass press release that holds everyone but Carrie Prejean responsible for her firing.

Prejean is still blaming us gays for her dismissal, despite leaked emails between her and Miss California director Keith Lewis that showed her to be a remarkably uncooperative employee.

Her lawyers (also NOM’s lawyers) are denying that she is a handful, but her former agent Francine Champagne thinks she’s “nutty.”

Prejean has found new employment as an author of more lies and self-absorption.

Carrie Prejean was not treated fairly by the gay community, We treated her the same way we get treated. Two wrongs doesn’t make a right. I do believe however that she has become bigger than “Miss California” and decided to miss some obligations to have it taken from her. She doesn’t need it anymore, her fame is guaranteed by the right because of us, we made her relevant by treating her with bigotry instead of with compassion. We need to start rethinking our tactics and make it so our actions are untouchable. We need to take the moral and ethical high grounds instead of rolling around in the mud with the very people we disagree with. She had the right to voice her opinion, she has the right to think and act the way she wants, that’s what makes this such a great country. When need to show them that we accept the way they feel and even acknowledge it so in turn we can expect to be recognized. Lets all wake up please.
