This is a repost of yesterday’s post that was lost to my server issues. I’ll keep it short and sweet.
On Sunday, in response to the monstrous DOMA brief John Berry, the highest ranking official in the Obama administration, spoke to The Advocate about Obama’s plans for DOMA, DADT, ENDA, the Matthew Shepard Act, protections for LGBT federal employees, and others. Berry said:
In the blog world, there’s been a lot of angst and allegations and charges flying, so the good news is, I’ve been authorized [by the administration] today to say everything that I’m going to be saying.
Berry said that that Obama plans on addressing the issues facing us “before the sun sets on this administration.” Which means — hurry up and wait. Some more.
As frustrating as this is, I think it was important for us to at least hear from the administration that there is an agenda of some kind.
