The state of California just announced its 2009 inductees (PDF) into the California Hall of Fame (no, I didn’t know it existed either). And one of the ten inductees? Harvey Milk!
All living inductees and family of posthumous inductees are scheduled to participate in the presentation of the Spirit of California medals, given by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the First Lady, Maria Shriver. The induction ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at The California Museum in Sacramento.
The California Museum will also host a new exhibit, featuring artifacts and mementos personally loaned by the inductees, their families and organizations, including many items that have never been exhibited before.
