Happy New Year, Everyone! And welcome back!

I had an amazing holiday season, and I can’t wait to get back to blogging!

It’s been a circuitous road, but everything on AKAWilliam is up and running. I’m so happy with the makeover. You’ll find The Media Bar is self-contained, speedy, and, well, spectacular.  I’ve also added a sexy new video player to make watching all kinds of  clips even better. The navigation bar at the top of the page will take you directly to the types of posts you are looking for — just click on a category. The search feature just to the right of that will do the same — just type in anything you’re looking for.

Comments are much easier to write and check. Oh, and did you see the little box in the sidebar that show the 10 most recent posts and 10 newest comments? Yeah, love that. What else? There are page numbers at the bottom of every page! And let’s not forget the  Featured Posts slideshow at the top of the front page. Just click on the picture to jump to the corresponding post. Love that. And I didn’t forget Pork! He has a nice shiny new audio player for his music posts.

At the bottom of each post page you’ll find links to posts related to the one you’re reading.  And don’t forget to share the love! There are little icons, also at the bottom of each page, that will let you easily share that post on facebook or digg or reddit . . . you name it.

All of The Regulars will be back, too — A Good Stiff One, Bar Snacks, Politics Happy Hour, Listen Up!,  Chart Attack, The Lady’s Brunch Burger Award, AKA What You’re Looking For. And I’ll be adding a few new amazing weekly regulars, too. So keep an eye out for them.

I’m so excited. Now is the time for all of us to step up and keep the good fight going.
