Glenn Beck Swerves Even More Dangerously

Fri, Aug 28, 2009 by AKA William

Glenn Beck is not a good person. He just isn’t. We all know that. But, this, this is . . . wrong, irresponsible, and dangerous.

One Response to “Glenn Beck Swerves Even More Dangerously”

This sort of thing must be addressed as what it is: Plain old racist pandering to the more ignorant among us. Beck seems to invoke the Constitution whenever it serves HIS purpose, nevermind that there have been examples of Americans of color (and let’s not forget women, whose suffrage was painful and long-lasting) who have sacrificed much to create and defend legislation that grants equality as a HUMAN right, and not something that one can invoke or besmirch at whim.

I suppose with all his posturing, Beck never bothered to understand the intent of the document that he invokes so often, particularly the 13th, the first paragraph of the 14th, the 15th and the 19th Amendments to the Bill of Rights. To him, these apparently all come with conditions. How about Michelle Malkin? Being part minority herself, I find the ease with which she separates herself from the suffrage that has allowed her to “rise” to where she is today, which is in no small part due to those sacrifices, truly offensive.

Since the Constitution was written at a 7th grade level of english, I find it difficult to believe that these people don’t understand it’s intent. I suppose the battle cry from George Orwell’s “1984″ is apt in this instance- “Ignorance is Strength”.

While I am not gay myself, I believe in the legal, sociological and moral intent of the Constitution. That all are created EQUAL, and identifying petty distinctions are the mark of weak, frightened and morally bankrupt minds.
