As an antidote to the nasty G1 anti-gay app, here are some of the emerging very pro-gay iPhone apps:

- An upcoming app called the ePride Guide from Indigo 501 Creative. Both a Web site and iPhone app, the guide will allow users to access ratings on LGBT-friendly businesses in a specific location and/or category,- San Francisco-based Web site www.Gaycities.com launched its iPhone app last week. The free app maps nearby gay-friendly restaurants, bars, hotels, and beaches in more than 70 cities worldwide.
- The publishers of Frontiers and IN recently disclosed plans for an iPhone app called MYGAYGO., a one-stop information source for an increasingly mobile society. Need to find an LGBT-friendly restaurant, hotel, store, lawyer, dentist, etc.? With MYGAYGO, you’ll be able to.
- One of the earliest apps to come online is called Pride. Free to install, it turns the iPhone screen into a rainbow flag that fades into the word pride.
It’s a short list I know (and that last one is very 1992 — does it come with a rainbow-ring necklace?), but I’ll post about more apps as I hear of them. I mean, there’s gotta be all kinds of gay geeks out there just itchin’ to insert their code deep into your iPhone, right?

MyGayGo is up and running ! I saw them at Long Beach Pride. They were giving out temp tattoos, and dog tags. They seem to be cool, and I downloaded the app. It had most of my favorite places, not all. I emailed their customer support with more places they should have and they added them THAT DAY !! VERY COOL !!!
