Folks, take a seat, please, and listen very closely because I have a beautiful story for all of you.
It’s a story of love and desire. It’s a fable of unrequited love. But, ultimately, it’s a tale of dreams come true.
Yes, I, AKA William, have interviewed Jonathan Waud. THE Jonathan Waud. The contestant who should have been Supermodel. The model who has inspired millions of gay men everywhere. The man who has said he wants to hold my hand in Central Park . . . but, wait, I’m getting ahead of myself, aren’t I?
I submitted ten questions to Jonathan through his agent at Karma Media Labs. Now, his answers to my probing questions might shock you. They might concern you. But as you journey through them, as I did, you will find yourself buoyed by the Burlesque unveiling of one Mr. Jonathan Waud.
Please, discover them for yourself. And, please, enjoy the photos of Mr. Waud that are appearing here on AKA William for the first time.
AW: How do you pronounce your last name, Waud? Is it pronounced “wowed” as in Jonathan really WOWED the judges this week? Or is it pronounced “wad” as in Jonathan’s underwear from his recent Undergear photo shoot are balled up in a WAD on the floor?
JW: LOL, none of the above….its pronounced Ward as in hospital ward or ward..drobe.
AW: What was it like to see yourself on TV for the first time?
JW: Hopefully not sounding too egotistical, it was really fun watching myself on tv.
AW: Do you think dying your hair and eyebrows carnelian red in the middle of “Make Me A Supermodel” cost you the title of “Supermodel?”
JW: What the hell was I thinking!!! I should have just shaved my head instead. Don’t know if it cost me the title but even after it was dyed back I still had orange eyebrows….not a great look for me. Models shouldn’t be allowed to think for themselves.
AW: I read in another interview that you want to work in TV. Did you watch the Battlestar Galactica finale? And what are your current favorite TV shows?
JW: I loved messing around infront of the camera even if I seemed quite tame on the show, so yeah would like to get back in there. Favorite shows would be ‘true blood’, ’simpsons’ and definately ‘top gear’ a british car show.
AW: You’re an Englishman living in Los Angeles. What kind of sunscreen do you use?
JW: Luckily enough I have quite olive skin so I don’t burn….despite my English heritage. Although I do remember my mailman being a dark mediterranean man….food for thought, LOL Just kidding,
AW: One of my readers, who is a big fan of yours, saw you at Target recently. He was afraid to come up and say “Hi!” to you. What advice do you have for the terrified gay man who wants to tell you how amazing he thinks you are?
JW: COME UP AND SAY HI!!! I think I end up being more excited than the fans are when they say hi.
AW: You have a gorgeous family. Have you all gone to Disneyland yet?
JW: My beautiful wife and baby boy have gone to Disneyland, but unfortunately I was working :(
AW: As a fellow blogger, what’s the hardest thing about blogging for you?
JW: I would say blogging is kind of like dating….you’re always thinking of ways to keep it interesting
AW: Would you be willing to hold hands with me in Central Park as a show of your support for marriage equality?
JW: Name the date and I’ll be there! But I would expect a carriage ride too!
AW: What did you think of “Bruno?”
JW: Haven’t seen Bruno yet but going tomorrow night, will let you know what I think.
Folks, that is what is called a dream. come. true.
Oh, and there are new to AKA William photos of Jonathan on the next page.

I got so excited when you ask about Battlestar Galactica!! (my all time fave show, there’s nothing better) even if he didn’t say anything about it.
Good-fun questions, good interview.

Jonathan was robbed of the “Super Model” win. But, he’s doing just as well without it. It sounds like he enjoys living in America. He’s a good husband and father. He deserves much success.
