Dianne Feinstein To Be HRC Dinner Keynote Speaker

Wed, Mar 11, 2009 by AKA William

diannefeinstein It looks like Wanda Sykes has inspired some groovy new gay marriages between politics and the gays. First came Wanda’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner gig. Then, last month, Keith Olbermann was honored by HRC for his Special Commentary on Prop 8. And now Dianne Feinstein is going to be the keynote speaker at this Saturday’s HRC gala. From Greg In Hollywood

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who did such a terrific job hosting President Obama’s swearing in ceremony, is going to be the keynote speaker at Saturday night’s Human Rights Campaign gala in Los Angeles.

I have a pretty excellent source on thius: my pal Trevor Daley who happens to work for the senator! Feinstein campaigned vigorously against Prop. 8 and is one of the few prominent elected officials on the national stage to support marriage equality for all.

Obviously, they hope we won’t remember how viciously homophobic DiFi was as San Francisco’s Mayor. She repeated attacked the queer community at a time when we were the weakest politically due to the AIDS crisis. She even called the death of Harvey Milk’s assassin (and her predecessor’s very convenient assassin) a tragedy.

This is the kind of crap that keeps me giving a dime to the money grubbing and homophobic HRC.
