Colin Powell appeared on CNN’s State of the Union this weekend and reiterated his belief that DADT should be reviewed, but he made it clear that he believes the administration should defer to the military’s recommendations.
So what are the miltary’s recommendations? The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, also on State of the Union, said, “It’s very clear what President Obama’s intent here is. He intends to see this law change . . . I’ve had conversations with him about that. What I’ve discussed in terms of the future is I think we need to move in a measured way.”
Which sounds a lot like what Obama said the other day at White House Stonewall celebration — wait.
Watch the Colin Powell clip.

The day that DADT is rescinded is the day the military sheds their top level fundamentalist Christians, who are the generals and chiefs in charge of the US military.
That day is not coming during Obama’s watch.

Commander in Chief much? Obama, you are their boss. Show some leadership and let the military know that it’s when, not if, and the when had better be soon.
