If you’re in Michigan, you can do your part to help stop those incredibly irritating Brita “One hour in the gym — Forever in a landfill” commercials (apparently the people at Brita have never heard of recycling) by buying boxed water instead, from Michigan-based Boxed Water Is Better:

Started with the simple idea of creating a new bottled water brand that is kinder to the environment and gives back a bit – we found that it shouldn’t be bottled at all, but instead, boxed. So we looked to the past for inspiration in the century old beverage container and decided to keep things simple, sustainable, and beautiful.
I’d buy it just to stop those Brita commercials. I’m not kidding, every time one comes on, the sound of the water pouring loudly from the Brita spigot into some nasty reusable water bottle makes me change the channel.
