Last night at New York City’s LGBT Center Gala Dinner, Mayor Bloomberg once again urged New York State legislators to pass a gay marriage bill:

Bloomberg said Wednesday night he stands ready to ask the Legislature to allow gay marriage in New York State, but doesn’t know when the time will be right.
Bloomberg said, “We see that the tide is turning, that support is mounting. Make no mistake, the time will come . . . and we will pass this bill.”
For the past three years, Bloomberg has made similar pledges, but the GOP-controlled state Senate blocked any such bill. Democrats now run the Senate but have not been able to round up votes to pass the measure.
And, I need to mention, just because, that super-sexy singer Matt Alber was featured last night as the Center’s musical guest.
