Gotta love it homophobic comments get called out.
Last week, the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Ali Abdussalam Treki, said that homosexuality was “unacceptable.” Well Barney Frank wasn’t having it. In an email to On Top Magazine, Frank wrote, “This is par for the course for a Libyan official – offensive, stupid and bigoted.”
And Illinois Rep. Mike Quigley wrote:
I respect that there is a healthy diversity of viewpoints across our country and around the world, but to preserve that very freedom of expression, human rights need to be our common denominator . . . With regard to the gentleman’s remarks, what’s ‘not acceptable’ is drawing geographic borders around equality.
That’ll do it.
