It’s a fake. The Onion publishes fake news like this all the time, as a satirical dig at pop culture. The man they showed as President Calderon is actually the man who lost the election against him.

Duh, I know. I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t know the onion, I just like to go with it and give a reaction accordingly. Its more fun that way :)
