Yesterday I wrote about “Marriage Armageddon,” the anti-gay marriage protest in DC being led by Bishop Harry Jackson. It was supposed to gather thousands of true believers to call forth Marriage Armageddon and save America from the homosexual evil. Or something.
Instead, it was a lackluster crowd of about a hundred people who tried to impart the power of the Lord to the District Building they were protesting in front of as Jackson called on city council members to vote down the same-sex marriage recognition amendment scheduled for a second and final vote May 5.
And then they were all joined by former DC mayor, crackhead, husband, and tax-payer Marion Barry, who stood before the would-be crowd to denounce gay marriage as immoral. Only thing is that Barry signed on as a co-introducer of the DC marriage bill that he was, uh, protesting. And there’s proof he signed it.
How’s that for a change of . . . heart? mind? memory?
Watch video of the faithful, the crazy, and the forgetful in all of their devoted dotage, after the jump.
